Google announce that they are going to end unlimited storage in google photos form June 1st 2021. If user want to store more than 15 GB it will be costly for him.
Google photos was offering free storage since last five years, the 15 GB limit will not count against all images and documents uploaded before June 1st, so you have plenty of time to decide whether to continue using Google Photos or move to another cloud storage service for your photos. It will start counting against the limit only images posted after June 1st.
Pixel owners will still be able to upload high quality (not original) photos for free after June 1st.
It’s not as good as the original offer of having limitless original quality from the Pixel, but it’s a tiny benefit for the few people
who purchase devices from Google.
More than 4 trillion pictures are stored in Google Images in present time, and 28 billion new pictures and videos are uploaded every week. Since so many of you rely on Google Images to store your memories.
It is important that it is not only a fantastic product, but also that it continues to fulfil your long-term needs. We are changing our limitless High Quality Storage Policy to accept even more of your memories and create Google Images for the future.
Meanwhile prices for Google One are not changing. It begins at 100 GB at $1.99 / month and has
levels of 200 GB ($2.99 / month), 2 TB ($9.99 / month), and up to 30 TB ($149.99 / month) all the way up.
